I work to ensure that families, students, and faculty/staff members have access to resources, programming, and education within the institution that they attend and serve. My work focuses on the adult community, providing support services to caregivers, training and development support to faculty and staff members, and implementing programming in alignment with school mission and vision.

Director of Diversity Initiatives/Asst. Dir. of College Counseling

Bosque School, Albuquerque, NM

August 2013 – July 2016

As Director of Diversity Initiatives, I led the middle and upper school in diversity-related efforts in conjunction with the Division Heads and Head of School. I also chaired the Diversity Task Force committee, comprised of student, faculty, and parent representatives, and administrators. I developed the “Me-We Conference: Exploring Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Social Justice”; a half-day conference for seventh grade students.

As Asst. Dir. of College Counseling, I worked in coordination with the Director of College Counseling to college counsel juniors, seniors, and their parents/guardians throughout the college application process. In addition, I taught a weekly college seminar class with seniors in the fall semester and juniors in the spring semester.

M.Ed. Family and Marriage Counseling, 2010
The College of William & Mary; Williamsburg, VA

While obtaining my M.Ed., I served as the coordinator for Project Phoenix for two years, monitoring the operation of a tutoring and mentoring program for middle school students in the local Williamsburg area. During my second year, I also served as a counseling intern for New Horizons Counseling Center, providing family counseling on a wide variety of issues including anxiety, depression, and parenting challenges.

University of Richmond; Richmond, VA

I was honored to be a part of the CIGNA Scholar and Bonner Scholar program during my undergraduate career.  As a Bonner Scholar I completed 10 hours of community service a week at my high school, Richmond Community High School (RCHS).  Through my engagement, I connected with other graduates and assisted in developing the RCHS Alumni Association and also sat on the advisory board for eight years.
